Using ACE on Windows
Riverace supports ACE on Microsoft Windows 2000 and newer using 32-bit x86 hardware, as well as Windows XP 64-bit Edition on Itanium hardware. Both Microsoft Visual C++ version 6 and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 (aka C++ 7.1) can be used. The Visual Studio .NET 2002 product (aka C++ 7.0) is not suitable for use with ACE. We recommend using the latest service pack for each compiler.
Tools
- WinZip: a good tool for unpacking the ACE source tarball or zips. Worth much more than the measly price they charge for it.
